Daisy Corner Bookmark
This corner bookmark slips over the corner of a page like a pocket. On the pocket sits a white daisy with a yellow center and two little leaves. The bookmark is a single piece: two triangles fold over the square and are glued together.
- Easy
- 1 corner pocket

On VanGami the template appears over your sheet through your phone camera — no printer needed. Trace it, cut, fold and glue. Below are all the steps in text.
What you’ll need
- 2 Letter sheets — office paper, 80 gsm (20 lb)
- Markers
- Pencil — and eraser
- Scissors — small
- Glue stick — or PVA glue
- Book or notebook — to try on the bookmark
- Glass — phone stand
Steps
Sheet 1
- Sheet 1: light blue sheet. A light blue sheet should be under the camera now. The template has 2 sheets. The sheet is white — the pieces get their color at the coloring step.
- Bookmark. Trace the square with two triangles, one on top and one on the right. You’ll cut along this line.
- Bookmark: folds. The two dashed lines are the borders between the triangles and the square. Write the numbers: 1 for the top one, 2 for the right one.
- Light blue. The paper is white. Color the triangle by line 2 light blue: that’s the face of the bookmark. The square is up to you: it only shows from the back of the page. The triangle by line 1 hides inside, so don’t color it.
Sheet 2
- Sheet 2: white sheet. Remove the previous sheet and put the white sheet in its place, lined up edge to edge. Don’t move the phone — the scale stays the same.
- Daisy. Trace the ten petals in one line.
- Daisy: center. The circle in the middle is the spot for the center: draw it lightly.
- Center. Trace the small circle: the center of the daisy.
- Leaves. Trace the two little leaves.
- Leaves: veins. One vein down the middle of each.
- Yellow. Color the areas that match this color. Move the marker in one direction — you’ll get fewer streaks.
- Green. Now the areas that match this color.
Cut
- Cut out: bookmark. Cut out the bookmark along the solid line. Don’t cut the dashed lines — those are folds. In the corner between the triangles, cut all the way in to the point.
- Cut out: daisy. Cut out the daisy along the solid line: make two short cuts that meet at each notch between the petals.
- Cut out: center. Cut out the center along the circle line.
- Cut out: leaf — 2 pcs. Cut out both leaves along the solid line.
Bookmark
- First triangle. Flip the bookmark over so the lines face down. Fold the top triangle onto the square — along the line between them — and crease the fold with your fingernail.
- Second one on the glue. Put glue on the folded triangle and lay the second triangle on top of it. Press down: now there’s a pocket between the square and the triangles.
Daisy
- Center. Glue the yellow center onto the circle in the middle of the daisy. Lift the petals a little with your fingers — the flower will pop out in 3D.
- Leaves. Put glue on the bases of the leaves and stick them onto the bookmark’s triangle: bases in the middle, tips pointing apart toward the long edge.
- Daisy onto the bookmark. Put glue in the middle of the back of the daisy and press it on top of the leaf bases.
Try on
- Slide it onto the page. Open a book or notebook and slip the bookmark over the corner of a page: the page goes into the pocket and the daisy stays on top.
Done. Your bookmark is done. Slip it over the corner of a page — the pocket holds tight and doesn’t crumple the page.
