Finger Reindeer

A little reindeer ring for your finger: a spotted strip with a head in front that has branching antlers, little ears and a dark nose. Around the neck is a collar with a bell. Two pieces from one sheet.

What you’ll need

• Letter sheet — office paper, 80 gsm (20 lb)
• Markers
• Pencil — and eraser
• Scissors — small
• Glue stick — or PVA glue
• Glass — phone stand

Steps

Trace

1. Reindeer: outlines. Trace the head with antlers, ears and neck, and the strip next to it. You’ll cut along the solid lines.
2. Reindeer: drawing. Copy the eyes, nose, smile, collar with a bell, and the spots on the strip. The line on the left of the strip is the glue tab; the line on the right is where to trim it for a child’s finger.

Color

3. Color the reindeer. Face, ears, neck and strip in light brown, antlers in brown, nose in black, collar in red, bell in yellow, insides of the ears and cheeks in pink. Leave the spots and the tab white.

Cut

4. Cut out: reindeer — 2 pcs. Cut out the head along the solid line. Between the antler tines there are shallow notches: cut into them from both sides.

Glue

5. Make the ring. Wrap the strip around your finger with the drawing outside, not too tight. Spread glue on the white tab and press the right end onto it — hold for 20 seconds.
6. Head — onto the ring. Spread glue on the neck on the back side — up to the chin. Press it onto the front of the ring, opposite the seam, and hug the ring with your fingers from the sides: the neck wraps around the ring and the head stands above it.

Play

7. Put it on your finger. Put the ring on your finger with its little face toward you and nod with your finger — the reindeer nods and shakes its antlers.

Done. Your reindeer is done — put it on your finger and nod. Make it a friend: the template is the same, and you can place the spots differently.
