Trace

  1. Gingerbread men: outline. Trace both shapes with a solid line — you’ll cut along it. Give the arms and legs round ends.
  2. Gingerbread men: drawing. Copy the face, the bow tie, three buttons and the icing zigzags on the arms and legs — thinly, without pressing hard.

Color

  1. Color the gingerbread men. Color the whole gingerbread man brown, but leave the icing zigzags white: run the marker along their edges. Color the buttons green and red, the bow tie red, the cheeks pink, and the eyes and smile black.

Cut

  1. Cut out: gingerbread man — 2 pcs. Cut out the gingerbread men along the solid line. Between the legs and under the arms, cut in from both sides.

Loop

  1. Thread loop. Turn the gingerbread men face down. Fold a piece of thread in half and tape the ends to the back of the head, ⅜ in below the top — the loop sticks up 1⅛–1⅝ in above the head.
  2. Who it’s for — on the back. On the back, write the name of the person the gift is for with a marker. For the tree, you can skip the name.

Check

  1. On the tree or on a gift. Hang the gingerbread men on a branch of the Christmas tree or tie the loop to the ribbon on a gift. Face side toward whoever’s looking.

Done. The gingerbread men are done. Hang them on the Christmas tree or tie the loop to the ribbon on a gift — the name on the back shows who it’s for.
