Treat Tags

Three little monster tags: a pumpkin, a black cat and a ghost. You tape a thread to the back and tie it to a lollipop or a treat bag, and write a name on the back.

What you’ll need

2 Letter sheets — office paper, 80 gsm (20 lb)
Markers
Pencil — and eraser
Scissors — small
Tape — clear, wide
Glue stick — or PVA glue
Thread or thin string — 3 pieces, 7⅞ in each
Lollipops or treat bags — 3 pcs
Glass — phone stand

Steps

Trace

Sturdy sheet from two. Apply glue stick over the whole surface of a sheet of printer paper, press a second sheet onto it, and smooth with your palm from the middle to the edges. You'll get a thick sheet — work on that one. Put it back in the same spot, edge to edge; don't move the phone.
Tags: outlines. Trace three tags: a pumpkin with a stem, a cat’s head and a ghost.
Tags: drawing. Copy the faces with thin lines: eyes, cheeks, mouths, and on the pumpkin, the ribs.

Color

Color: tags. Color the pumpkin orange, the stem green and the ribs brown. Color the cat black, leave its face white, make the eyes yellow, and make the nose and the insides of the ears pink. The ghost stays white: eyes and little mouth black, cheeks pink.

Cut

Cut out: tags — 3 pcs. Cut out the three tags. Cut the smooth edges with long cuts, and turn the sheet around the cat’s ears and the ghost’s arms.

Assemble

Tape the thread. Turn the tags over. Tape the middle of the thread to the back near the top edge with a small piece of tape, both ends pointing up above the tag. Below it, write who the treat is for.
