What you’ll need

2 Letter sheets — office paper, 80 gsm (20 lb)
Markers
Pencil — and eraser
Scissors — small
Glue stick — or PVA glue

Steps

Sheet 1

Sheet 1: white sheet. The white sheet should be under the camera now. The template has 1 sheets.
Skull: outline. Trace the skull with a solid line — the round forehead, cheekbones and chin.
Skull: patterns. Copy the patterns with thin lines: petals around the eye sockets, a heart-shaped nose, a stitched smile, swirls on the cheekbones and a flower on the forehead.
Marigolds: outlines. Trace three flowers with round petals — they make the wreath.
Marigolds: drawing. Inside each flower, draw two more rows of petals: a big one and a small one.
Color: skull. Color the petals by the eyes and the dots pink, the eye sockets black, and leave the highlights white. Color the flower on the forehead and the swirls orange, and its center yellow. Color the nose, smile and edge black. The skull stays white.
Color: marigolds. Color the outer petals orange, the middle row yellow, and the center orange again.

Sheet 2

Teal: color the sheet (optional). The sheet is white. You can color it in this color all over before marking it out (that takes longer) — or leave it white: the craft will come out white.
Card base. This sheet isn’t traced: it gets folded in quarters — first along line 1, then along line 2. You’ll see how at the “Fold” stage.

Fold

Fold the sheet in half. Place the teal sheet in portrait orientation and fold it in half: top edge to bottom edge, corners exactly on corners. Crease the fold with your fingernail.
In half again. Keep the fold at the top. Fold again: left edge to right edge, and crease. Now you have a card: the cover is on top, with the spine on the left.

Cut

Cut out: skull. Cut out the skull along the solid line: at the cheekbones, turn the sheet, not the scissors.
Cut out: marigold — 3 pcs. Cut out the three flowers. Cut the petals in one smooth cut, turning the sheet, not the scissors.

Glue

Skull. Put glue on the back of the skull and stick it on the cover in the middle, below center: that leaves room above it for the crown.
Flower crown. Glue only the center of each flower. The middle flower goes above the top of the head, the side ones at the edges of the forehead, a little lower. Lift the edges of the flowers with your fingers.
