What you’ll need

Steps

Trace

  1. Covers: outlines. Trace two rectangles with rounded corners — the front cover and the back cover.
  2. Covers: drawing. Copy the frame, the words and the hearts, and near the left edge, a tear line made of short dashes.
  3. Coupons 1 and 2: outlines. Trace two rectangles with rounded corners — “Big Hugs” and “Breakfast in Bed”.
  4. Coupons 1 and 2: drawing. Copy the frame, the words and the hearts, and near the left edge, a tear line made of short dashes.
  5. Coupons 3 and 4: outlines. Trace two rectangles with rounded corners — “Movie Night” and “One Wish”.
  6. Coupons 3 and 4: drawing. Copy the frame, the words and the hearts, and near the left edge, a tear line made of short dashes.

Color

  1. Covers: color. Each piece in its own color, like in the sample: the frame, the words and the hearts.
  2. Coupons 1 and 2: color. Each piece in its own color, like in the sample: the frame, the words and the hearts.
  3. Coupons 3 and 4: color. Each piece in its own color, like in the sample: the frame, the words and the hearts.

Cut

  1. Cut out: covers — 2 pcs. Cut out both covers along the solid line: the straight edges in one long cut, the corners following the curve.
  2. Cut out: coupons 1 and 2 — 2 pcs. Cut with scissors along the solid line. Turn the sheet, not the scissors — the cut will come out neater.
  3. Cut out: coupons 3 and 4 — 2 pcs. Cut with scissors along the solid line. Turn the sheet, not the scissors — the cut will come out neater.

Fold

  1. Tear line. Fold the front cover and each coupon along the dashed line up and down, all the way, then unfold. That way the coupon will tear off neatly later, and the cover will open easily. Don’t fold the back cover.

Glue

  1. Put the booklet together. Lay down the back cover. Put a strip of glue on its spine, then coupon 4 on top, exactly edge to edge. Do the same with coupons 3, 2, 1 and the front cover: glue only on the spine, to the left of the dashed line.

Check

  1. A coupon as a gift. Open the cover. Tear the coupon off along the dashed line while holding the spine with your finger — or cut it off with scissors — and give it to someone.

Done. The booklet is done. You can tear the coupons off one at a time — or add your own wishes on a blank one: write “Good for…” on the other side of the back cover.
