What you’ll need

Letter sheet — office paper, 80 gsm (20 lb)

Steps

Trace

Head: outline. Trace the solid line — the edge of the “Head” piece. You’ll cut along it.
Head: fold. Across the head, at its widest part, there’s a dashed line: the head will fold along it — that’s the back edge. Don’t cut along it.
Head: drawing. On the top half, draw the nostrils by the edge, cheeks and spots. Near the fold, draw two short marks: that’s where the eyes will stand.
Mouth: outline. Trace the solid line — the edge of the “Mouth” piece. You’ll cut along it.
Mouth: drawing. Copy the border along the edge, the tongue with a little heart, the throat stripe and two folds of the roof of the mouth. Across it runs the center line: it will lie on the head’s fold.
Eyes and feet: outlines. Trace the two eyes and the two feet with a solid line. You’ll cut along these lines.
Eyes: fold. At the base of each circle there’s a dash-dot line: the tab is below it. Don’t cut along it.
Eyes and feet: drawing. On the eyes, draw the white, a big pupil with a highlight, and an eyelid. On the feet, draw toes with circles and a line across: above it is a strip for glue.

Color

Head: coloring. Color the whole head green, and go over the spots with green again to make them darker. Color the cheeks pink and the nostrils black.
Mouth: coloring. Color the border along the edge green, the inside pink, and the throat and tongue red. Leave the little heart on the tongue pink.
Eyes and feet: coloring. Color the feet and the eyes around the white green, and go over the circles on the toes with green again to make them darker. Color the pupils black, but don’t color the highlight.

Cut

Cut out: head. Cut with scissors along the solid line. Turn the sheet, not the scissors — the cut will come out neater.
Cut out: mouth. Cut with scissors along the solid line. Turn the sheet, not the scissors — the cut will come out neater.
Cut out: eyes and feet — 4 pcs. Cut with scissors along the solid line. Turn the sheet, not the scissors — the cut will come out neater.

Fold

Fold the head. Fold the head along the dashed line with the drawing facing out, crease it with your fingernail and unfold it.

Glue

Feet under the jaw. Lay the head drawing side up, with the nostrils away from you. Put glue on the feet above the line, on the front side, and lay them on the near half of the head, drawing side down: the line goes along the edge, toes sticking out.
Mouth into the head. Flip the head drawing side down. Put glue on it and lay the mouth on top, drawing side up: the center line goes exactly on the fold, and the tongue goes on the half with the feet. Press down with your palm.
Close the mouth. Fold the head along the fold with the mouth inside: the top half lies on the bottom one. Crease the fold — it’s the back edge of the head.
Eyes. Fold the eyes along the dashed line. Put glue on the tabs and stick them on the lines near the back edge, tab toward the lips. Lift the circles up — they stand and look forward.
