Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

In short. No accounts, no ads, no selling of data. The camera image never leaves your phone. We count visits anonymously to improve the lessons, and you can switch that off below.

1. Who we are

VanGami (vangami.com) is operated by VanDraw Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong, Unit 907, 9/F., Silvercord Tower 2, 30 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong (“we”, “us”). Questions about privacy: legal@vandraw.com.

2. The camera

VanGami shows a craft template over the live image from your phone camera. The camera image is processed only inside your browser: it is not recorded, not uploaded, not stored and not sent to us or anyone else. You can refuse or withdraw camera access in your browser settings at any time; steps that don’t need the camera still work.

3. What is stored on your device

We don’t use cookies. Your browser’s local storage keeps your settings so the lessons work: language, paper type, camera calibration (a size in millimetres), lesson progress, sound on/off and a random visit identifier (see section 4). This stays on your device; you can delete it by clearing site data in your browser.

4. Anonymous visit statistics

To understand which lessons people make and to fix problems, the site sends short technical events to our own server: which screens and lessons were opened, a lesson code if you entered one, whether the camera started (and the camera names your browser reports, such as “Back Ultra Wide Camera”), the calibration value, technical errors, a missing voice-over line, the site that sent you (domain only), language, approximate country derived from your time zone, device type, screen size and browser version.

Each device gets a random identifier that is not linked to your name or any account and is replaced at least every 13 months. We do not collect names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, precise location, photos or videos, advertising identifiers or IP addresses (our counter does not store them and our web server keeps no access logs), and we do not build advertising profiles or share the statistics with advertisers.

Legal basis (EU/UK): our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). The statistics are used only for audience measurement and are kept for 13 months, then deleted.

Your choice. If your browser sends “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track”, the counter stays off automatically. You can also switch it off on this device here:

5. Hosting and other services

The site, its fonts, scripts and voice-over files are served from our own server at a hosting provider in Germany (EU). Pages make no requests to analytics, advertising or social-media services. Security certificates come from Let’s Encrypt; no visitor data is shared with them. Our team may look at the anonymous statistics from outside the EU; they contain nothing that identifies you.

6. Children

VanGami is a paper-crafts site that children may use, ideally together with an adult. We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, personal information from anyone, including children: there are no accounts, chats, uploads, comments or ads. The random identifier is used only to support the internal operation of the site (statistics and fixing errors). Parents or guardians with questions can write to legal@vandraw.com.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, delete or object to the processing of personal data and to complain to your data-protection authority. Because the statistics are not linked to your identity, we usually cannot tell which records are yours; you can clear the site data in your browser and switch the counter off above. Write to legal@vandraw.com and we will reply within 30 days.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date above.
